The Joy of Time As I Grow Older

As I Grow Older (The Joy of Time)
I have time now to meditate,
And think about all that’s great,
I’ve taken a moment, my life’s been reviewed,
And I’m ready to face finitude,
But what of now, the present time?
Does my clock quit ticking? No, I’ll chime!
I’ve decided that I can give certain sagacity,
To those that ask about life’s recipe,
I see old age as a period of curiosity,
A time of joy, fulfillment, and dignity,
The final chapters of life I’ll not miss,
Because I’m like a butterfly, emerging from a chrysalis.
