The Pendulum Has Swung

The Pendulum Has Swung

Rainbows are but raindrops scattered,

Creating beauty after love, is all that matters,

So it is with my heart that is shattered,

Light falling in this place, not there,

Splashes across my heart, but not everywhere,

And leaves me knowing that you don’t care,

Moments spent together, cut from my life,

Irregular gashes from love’s cruel knife,

Bitter words that ended in strife,

I’ll keep only sweet words upon my tongue,

Without rescinding your praises I’ve sung,

But love is lost, the pendulum has swung.

    1. Sometimes I write about a love that could not have worked but the longing is still there.

May the sun be on your face and the wind at your back as the Lord blesses you throughout the day. Carpe diem!

      1. Ah, greed. One of the seven sins. You could write a book about it. Don’t wait for me. Once two or three characters begin in a book they take on a lives of their own. You’ll have fun.

This site is amazing. Thats not seriously a genuinely massy blog comment, but its all I could appear up with right after reading your blog.

    I’ll keep reading your blog.

    Thanks so far, goodbye

    1. I don’t always follow poetic norms even though I’ve used most. I do hope to entertain and share my opinions. Feel free to comment or ask questions. dan
