Till Time Becomes a Circle

Till Time Becomes a Circle

I cannot compare you with another lover,

There is so much about you to discover,

You talk to me and tell me you love me,

And life has become a loving spree,

Your humor and intelligence brighten my way,

Our love is deeper and better day after day,

In the evenings we play music and dance,

What else need I say about our romance?

If I could go back in time, I would choose you,

You once took my heart and kept it too,

We could go laughing and skipping across the lea,

Dizzy from the sunlight, feeling wild and free,

Or smell the flowers that on a hillside grew,

My life was so rich when I was with you,

When you were by my side I felt so brave,

Ready at any moment your honor to save,

Your energy was endless and what a delight,

We could talk for hours well into the night,

It didn’t matter whether movies and wine,

When we were together everything was fine,

I was so proud and thought you were best,

My heart would scarcely fit inside my chest,

Passion flared suddenly when we were alone,

You could always take me to places unknown,

Places where the flames climbed higher and higher,

Always your body quenched my fire,

With each moment that we went through,

You needed me and I needed you ,

I don’t need to step back in time,

To find a moment that I deem prime,

The instant I found you, I loved you so,

I’m still in love with you, deeper though,

You’ve aged slowly with spunk and grace,

In my heart you’ll always have a place,

I think you’re funny and sometimes strange,

But even if you could find a way to change,

Whatever you did or said, I’d love you anyway,

Till time becomes a circle, forever and a day.

  1. Can’t be more smart than those lines ’till time becomes a circle.. I would love you anyway’ in expressing how much we love someone. Wonderful as usual, and this new improvement of adding pictures is interesting. 🙂

    1. I don’t know about the words. I just put them down as soon as I hear them. I look back at some of my poems and wonder “Where did this poem come from?” I don’t remember it. And then comes the aha moment about the moment of inspiritation. Yesterday, the writing muse was off visiting relatives but today she’s back.

May the sun be on your face and the wind at your back as the Lord blesses you throughout the day. Carpe diem!
