Blame my roving eye

You turned and leaned towards me,

a smile on your beautiful face.

What were you intending to tell me

before I let another take your place?

You didn’t remind me of laughter we shared

or how we would waltz under the moon.

You simply waved and ducked back inside

and were gone oh, too soon.

Blame my roving eye,  or my foolish pride.

Now I’m alone and withering away

And I think my heart has died.

Why did you let me break our vows?

You know I’m weak without you.

Another chance, please one more chance.

This time I’ll be true.
